Acceptable use policy

Effective 23 Oct 2026 · If the Arabic and English texts differ, the Arabic text governs.

This policy sets out what isn't allowed on Mudarraj. It applies to everyone who uses it: students, instructors, academy teams and visitors. Its aim is simple: keep the hall a respectful place where everyone can study in peace, and make sure instructors get what they are owed for the work they put into their content.

What isn't allowed

Your account and paid content

  • Sharing your account or password with anyone, or selling or renting out your account.
  • Recording the screen or audio during lessons or live sessions, or filming the screen with another device.
  • Republishing, selling or uploading any video, file or quiz to other groups, sites or channels.
  • Getting around the device limit, hiding, cropping or blurring the watermark, or using tools to download videos.

Quizzes

  • Cheating: sharing questions or answers, taking a quiz for someone else, or getting someone's help during it, unless the academy explicitly allows it.
  • Using more than one account to see the questions before you answer.

How you treat others

  • Harassment, bullying, threats or insults — in questions, comments or live sessions.
  • Hate speech, incitement to violence, or discrimination based on religion, origin, sex, disability or anything else.
  • Impersonating anyone, including instructors, academy teams and the Mudarraj team.
  • Posting someone else's personal data without their permission, such as their phone number, photo or address.
  • Posting sexual, violent or shocking content.

Spam and security

  • Spam, unsolicited advertising and deceptive links.
  • Automated data collection (scraping), running crawlers or bots on the site, or using the APIs in ways that aren't allowed.
  • Uploading malware, trying to break into the platform or other people's accounts, probing for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or deliberately disrupting or overloading the service. If you find a vulnerability, report it to legal@mudarraj.dev and don't exploit it.
  • Using the platform for anything unlawful, or uploading content you don't have the right to share (see the copyright policy).

Content protection measures and why we use them

  • Device limit. Each academy sets how many devices an account can use there (2 by default). We recognise a device by a random ID in the mdr_did cookie (or in the mobile app's secure storage), which our servers store only as a one-way hash, and we keep the device's name and type, its last IP address and when it was last seen. You can remove a device yourself in Settings once every 30 days, or ask the academy.
  • Watermark. Videos show a moving watermark with the viewer's name and part of their phone number (or part of their email if they have no phone number). The academy can turn it off.
  • Short-lived links. Private videos and files only open through signed links that expire quickly, issued after we check that you have access.

Why? Account sharing and leaked recordings take away what instructors are owed and push prices up for the students who pay. These measures discourage sharing and help identify the account a leaked recording came from. We don't use them to monitor how you study. The details are in the privacy policy.

How we deal with breaches

Each academy enforces this policy within the academy; the Mudarraj team enforces it across the platform. We choose the action based on how serious the breach is, whether it was deliberate and whether it has happened before:

  1. A warning that explains the breach and what you need to do.
  2. A device reset or removal of the content.
  3. A temporary suspension of the account at the academy or on the platform.
  4. Account termination.

For serious breaches we go straight to suspension or termination. These include selling or widely sharing paid content, hacking, threats, hate speech and any content that exploits children. We may report to the authorities where the law requires it. We keep evidence of the breach, such as a leaked recording that carries the watermark.

Appeals

If you think an action was a mistake, appeal within 14 days of being told about it:

  • by replying to the message about the action, or through the academy's contact page;
  • if the decision was made by the Mudarraj team, write to legal@mudarraj.dev.

Where possible, the appeal is reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision, and we reply within 7 working days.

Reporting a breach

  • Tell the academy through its contact page, with a link to the content and a short description of what happened.
  • For serious breaches, or if the breach is by the academy itself, write to legal@mudarraj.dev.
  • For copyright infringement, follow the copyright policy.

We don't reveal who made a report to the person reported, unless the law requires us to.

Changes

We may update this policy. For any material change we tell you in your dashboard or by email, and we update the effective date at the top of the page. If this English text differs from the Arabic, the Arabic text governs.
